Anger Management

I use a blend of psychological and psychotherapeutic methods to enable my clients to understand what triggers their anger, why they react in this way, and how to change this. They learn how to manage their anger differently and more effectively, all in the comfort of a safe and confidential environment. Anger and stress management does work. It is work, not magic, and takes time.

Anger, in itself, is helpful. It is a feeling that tells us something is wrong and gives us the opportunity to do something about it. So, when we feel angry it’s important to figure out what the problem is and deal with it accordingly. Sounds simple enough doesn’t it?

So why, then, is anger usually seen in such a negative way?
There are two main reasons.

If we want to protect our relationships with loved ones, family, friends and colleagues, it is important to learn to express our anger cleanly and clearly. In this way problems can be resolved, and we don’t hurt other people and/or compound the problem by overreacting. I specialise in anger management and work with both individuals and couples for whom anger is causing problems. I also work with parents and teachers of children with problem anger.
